Hello, my name is Fox Redmond and I am a first year student at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. My academic interests are focused in the areas of biology and sustainability. I am a member of my school’s life science fellowship which currently sees me doing karyotyping research in a plant genetics lab. This semester I have refined my coding and data manipulation skills in Rstudio and I have also grown as a convincing storyteller. I aspire to apply my software and storytelling knowledge into my research as well as my future career. Now that I possess the neccessary experience, I hope to begin my own projects that start with collecting my own biological data in the field and ends with my sharing my story in a professional conference.
